and it's all because of you~
12:11 PM

oh yeah, i'm in Ne-Yo mode, and i didn't even watch the concert. i wanted to, but was too lazy to get tickets. and i was also saving up for a singapore trip. well, looks like that singapore trip won't push thru this June.

i've decided that i won't be going with the flow for the Great Singapore Sale... will go there once the smoke clears and i'm free to roam the streets of this quaint little city harbor. and i plan to do the whole backpacking scene. oh yeah, hostels are the way to go for that trip. i want to experience this first-hand so that when i do a European backpacking trip, i'm prepared (hey, it's free to dream, right?). XD

anyway, i'm looking forward to a Bohol or Davao trip this year. i'm bringing my brother to Bohol because i want him to see how pretty the island is. plus, my brother hasn't seen a beach, so it'll be great for him. and Davao!!! i've always wanted to go to one of th biggest city in Asia. i've been hearing wonderful stories about it and i want to see it for myself ^_^

come december, i'm going back to Bangkok. i'll go there with my brother because i want him to see the tigers. honestly, more than the dongbang experience, i treasure our Tiger Temple trip visit. the tigers are beautiful creatures... *sigh*

with the beautiful creature... more photos in my
friendster account and soon in my Multiply account

hmm.. looks like i have a lot of plans this year. but that's ok. i love it! ^_^

everybody knows that i'm not a big health buff. i don't pay attention to what i eat or what-not. so i decided to give this dietary supplement a try. It's called Glucorell R and today is my first day in taking the capsules.

here's what it basically does (from www.glucorellr.com)

While it has many properties, the one that people find most interesting is its ability to keep sugars from making you fat. How does it do this?

First it acts as a glucose disposal agent. It actually increases the amount of carbohydrates taken up by muscle cells.

Second it improves insulin sensitivity allowing for larger amounts of carbohydrates to be shuttled into muscle cells.

Third it lowers plasma insulin which decreases the amount of carbohydrates and fats ingested from being stored as adipose tissue (FAT). It is more effective with carbs, so a low fat diet is preferable for best results. This also helps prevent diabetes.

interesting right? especially for me since i love sweets! lol... people from the Health and Fitness forum of Pinoy Exchange have been using this and all i can hear are positive results so i'm giving it a try. will also give thermorexin a try since i need energy for my workout sessions. got to contact blakedaddy for those supplements!

sheesh... i sound like a health buff! just looking out for my health coz we're all not getting any younger. love thyself, as most people say (though not in a vain sort of way... LOL XD)

ok, thermorexin info on my next post. ^_^

and yes, i did make good on my promise to read The Zahir by Paulo Coehlo. I'm on page 42 now!!! *cheers* and it's an intriguing story.. about obsession and stuff. now you ask, what is a zahir? here's an insert from the book:

According to the writer Jorge Luis Borges, the idea of the Zahir comes from Islamic tradition and is thought to have arisen at some point in the eighteenth century. Zahir, in Arabic, means visible, present, incapable of going unnoticed. It is someone or something which, once we have come into contact with them or it, gradually occupies our every thought, until we can think of nothing else. This can be considered a state of holiness or of madness.
- Faubourg Saint-Peres
Encyclopedia of the Fantastic (1993)

and that's why Paulo Coehlo's book is called a novel of obsession. ;)

back after almost 2 weeks
11:31 AM

omg... i am back!! yes, i am back. whew... i haven't blogged in almost 2 weeks. O_O i didn't know i was that busy. wow... well, maybe i am. hehe...

anyway, my last post was september 5th. now what have i been doing since then? oh yeah, i was working from september 6-8. lol XD and then come september 9-12 i was in Cebu... the fun started when i got back. *sigh* i'll give a more detailed explanation as soon as i finish sharing stories of our trip...

09/09: First Day in Cebu
i ended my shift at 6am and then tried to sleep at the office. i've got my bags all packed and i'm good to go. i was excited. this'll be my first trip to Cebu without my parents, and my first trip to the island after 18 years. yipee. had my McDonald's breakfast and got a cab. fetched Izce at Exportbank Plaza and we're on our way to the airport.

And let me tell you, we got lost inside the airport. lol XD it was a fun learning experience for me, and i think izce too. hehe... we waited for a bit after checking in. you wouldn't believe how many couples in couple shirts we saw while waiting! sooo many koreans! heck, i really wonder what they're doing here when in fact korea is such a wonderful country. going back, i pity the poor souls we criticized while waiting. to those people, i sincerely apologize, we were just killing time. ahehe...

on the plane, i got the window seat! yebah! hehe... but the thing is, the plane's wings are blocking the great view of the islands. psh... but it was a smooth ride, there were some turbulence, but i manage to stay calm. hehe...

ok, so we got to cebu and went directly to Cebu Midetown Hotel. when we got to the room, we thought we didn't have electricity. nyahaha.. stupid us, we didn't place the key in that slot by the door. bwahahaha.... another learning experience for us. teehee...

anyway, we spent the afternoon sleeping. i called ernest at around 230pm to check if he's already in and turns out he is. so yeah, let's leave it at that *blushes* nyahaha... we woke up at around 6 or 7 and went to the mall downstairs to buy some of our necessities. and would you believe that Robinson's close their doors at 8pm?! that's something unheard of in Manila. O_O

09/10: Roaming the city
Second day in the island, and we were prepared to roam the so-called Queen City of the South. ahehe... we woke up at around 8 i think and went down to the breakfast buffet at around 9. the spread was great, i love the bread and the omelette. yeah, i live for hotel meals. lol XD not to mention they have the best coffee i have ever tasted. i love it.. ^_^

anyway, our first stop is the Sto. Nino de Cebu. time to say my thanks to my miracle worker. my parents firmly believed that i am alive because of this Sto.Nino. Explanation: they have been trying to have a child for seven years after getting married and they've tried everything humanly and medically possible to conceive, all to no avail. mom was only able to conceive when they visited the Sto.Nino. and since then, i was only able to visit him once. this recent one was the second. and i plan to visit again. ^^ end of explanation. you might say my family is quite religious. anyway, you wouldn't believe how cheap, and confusing, transportation is on the island. heck, they have multicabs for jeepneys and they have codes for their routes. good thing i'm with izce. i find that she loves asking for directions, while i'm shy about asking. and would you believe that Cebuanos are soooo friendly. i mean ask them a question and they will answer with all smiles. i have fallen in love with the place.

next is the Basilica or Cathedral. yes, we have to stop by the churches, lest God feels bad that we started touring the city without paying homage to him. Cebu is where Christianity started after all. yes, i still remember my History, because the next stop for our trip is.... the Magellan's Cross.

hah! when we arrived at the Magellan's Cross, there were a bunch of Japanese tourists there already with a Japanese speaking Filipino guide. and the Japanese guys were so funny. lol XD there was this one Japanese who told his friends to let us take a picture of the cross, but then his other companion just looked at us and posed with the V-sign and all. it was so cute that we started laughing. hehe.. they're a nice bunch of tourists. ^_^V

next stop: the Taoist temple. it was sooo pretty. you can just enter the place and ta-da! you're like in China or something. pictures (and a lot of it) in my multiply. ^^ after this, we were supposed to go to Sykes Cebu to do Nel a favor but turns out we were late for office hours. anyway, we hanged around the Ayala malls there and met up with the person who will provide us with out Bohol tour guide. We decided to go to Bohol since we were there already and we don't want to miss this opportunity. hehe.. and while waiting fo her, we ordered some kimbap and ddokpokki. yes, korean-ism even in Cebu! love it! we had that for takeout for dinner. ^^ after meeting with the guide, we roamed around the mall for a bit looking for some stuff. hah! it was a nice experience. shops in Ayala Mall Cebu are so nice. ^^

we went back to the hotel and we were only supposed to rest a while, then proceed to Tops to get a good look at the city. but we ended up staying at the hotel for the remainder of the afternoon or evening. we were too tired and bangag to go out. plus we have to wake up really early the following day to catch the ferry ride to Bohol...

09/11: Bohol
we woke up at around 430 to 5am to get ready for our trip to Bohol. good thing we have asked the guard in the hotel's entrance to get a cab for us at 530am. so when we went down to the lobby, the cab was there and waiting. ^^ we proceeded to pier 1 and waited to board. we were at the view deck so yeah.. it was cold. hehe... a lot of Koreans too... lol XD anyway, it was raining wso we didn't get a good view of the islands we were passing by. but that's ok because i intend to go back!!! ^^

anyway, i'm too lazy to describe our Bohol trip. it's not that it's no fun. it was... super fun in fact. but it would be better to tell all about it in person. plus, i have tons of pictures of it in Multiply! hehe.. just go to eyecandies then to the folder "Bohol Trip" you'll find around 150+ photos there.

09/12: back to Manila
our last day in the beautiful island... *sigh* i'm going back Cebu, i promise ^^
we left the hotel at around 10:45 am and checked in at the airport at around 11:20 for the 12:05 flight. hehe.. we were late for the usual "check in 2 hours before flight sched" rule, but it's ok. hihihi....

teehee... this post is too long! haha.. and i'm sure i'm going to edit it once i find the time and energy to post more details of our Bohol trip...
